Ingredients
  • Olive Oil - 2Tsp
  • Okra - 500 G
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/8 Tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 Tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3/4 to 1 Tsp
  • Garlic - 1 or 2
  • Lemon Juice - 1/2 Tsp

    1. Firstly, take okra/bhindi/lady’s fingers and wash them properly. Cut them into half-inch pieces and keep them aside.
    2. Secondly, add 1 tbsp oil to a pan and let it heat. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
    3. Now add chopped bhindi and green chilli. Saute them on medium flame and stir. You can also add some lemon juice for taste.
    4. Meanwhile, in another pan add garam masala, cumin seeds and garlic and stir it dry until golden.
    5. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool. Then make coarse powder out of it.
    6. When the bhindi is also done, add some oil to it along with salt, turmeric and red chilli powder. Mix well.
    7. Then add the coarse powder to bhindi and mix nicely.
    8. Your bhindi fry is ready. Serve hot with roti or rice.
