How to make it

Ranging from dosas to ragi balls, this healthy cereal will keep you fit and healthy all day all long. Chocolate Ragi Kulcha is one of our favorites.

Chocolate ragi kulcha
  • To make the dough, in a mixing bowl, add 2 tbsp ragi flour, 1.5 tbsp whole wheat flour,1 tbsp curd, 1 tbsp Milk, and 1/4th tsp salt.
  • Mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.
  • Rest the dough for 5 min.
  • Start preparing the kulcha, and roll the dough.
  • Then, add 2 tbsp grated chocolate.
  • Seal, fold and flatten into a round shape.
  • On a heated Tawa, apply water at the base of Kulcha and roast with 1/2 tsp Ghee.
  • Tasty chocolate ragi kulcha is ready to serve.
  • Garnish with 1 tbsp melted dark chocolate

Health benefits

Ragi is an all-season millet and has anti-inflammatory, weight loss properties. Its calcium has more bioavailability than that of milk which is equivalent to 455 mg whereas a glass of milk has only 295 mg. And hence it is excellent for growing children and osteoporotic females. Also being low on the glycemic index and high in fiber stabilizes the blood sugar levels and prevents insulin spikes.
