Ingredients
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup mixed green vegetables (peas, green beans, broccoli, etc.)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

    How To Make Green Pulao?

    Instructions:

    1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
    2. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
    3. Add the chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
    4. Stir in the minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Cook for a couple of minutes until they release their fragrance.
