  • Cumin – 1tsp
  • Ice Cubes - few
  • Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  • Oil – 1tbsp
  • Dry red chili – 1no
  • Ginger chopped – ½ tsp
  • Green chili chopped – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Curd – 1cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • The simplicity of this South Indian raita recipe is in its healthy ingredients and also the weight loss properties it has.

    South Indian raita recipe
    • Begin by mixing the salt into the curd.
    • Heat oil on a pan over medium flame and add in the mustard seeds, cumin, and red chilies.
    • Fry this for about 1 min or until the mustard seeds begin to splutter.
    • Then add in the green chillis, ginger, and curry leaf. Fry this for about 30 sec and add into the curd.
    • Now keep stirring it if for 1 minute.
    • (you can also add ice cubes if you don’t want to stir)
    • Then, transfer into the serving container and garnish with a sprig of curry leaf and fried red chili.
