Mac struggled with obesity all through his teenage years, reaching 120 kgs at 19. In an effort to adopt a healthier lifestyle, he joined a gym and started working out 2 hours a day, making exercise a part of his daily routine. He lost 20 kgs.

With a fixed fitness regime in place, Mac eventually lost 50+ kgs. However, all the weight bounced back after an accident, and he was diagnosed with cervical spondylitis. During this period he developed a deep interest in the power of natural foods.

After quitting a high-paying corporate job, Mac pursued an MSc in fitness and nutrition and worked with Manipal Hospital and several fitness centres before launching Fitelo.
