Coronavirus a communicable virus – i.e. it can spread to others with very similar symptoms even like cold, flu, etc. One of the myths running around the internet is – you should avoid non-vegetarian food. Here is the reality – YOU CAN HAVE NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD !!

YES, YOU CAN HAVE NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD

There is no conclusive evidence that the virus spreads by consumption of meat, eggs and other animal products.

AIIMS and other reputed organisations have released guidelines suggesting that it’s okay to have animal meat if it is well cooked. And the fact is the coronavirus actually spreads through contact with an infected person.

When your chicken or eggs are washed and cooked properly, there is hardly any chance for the virus to survive.

Key Takeaway

Adding non-veg foods like eggs can actually improve your immunity and protect you from getting infected from the virus.

While we don’t recommend half cooked or uncooked meats like salami, raw eggs and meats, if you are washing and cooking your food well enough, there are hardly any chances that eating non-veg food will increase your chances of getting infected.
