  • Mint Leaves - 1 cup
  • Fresh Cilantro/Coriander Leaves - ¼ cup
  • Green Chillies - 2 to 3
  • Dry Red Chilli - 1
  • Oil - 2 Tbsp
  • Urad Dal - 1 Tbsp
  • Stevia - Few Drops
  • Chana Dal - 1 Tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - ½ Tbsp
  • Shallots - 10
  • Garlic Cloves - 6
  • Ginger Piece - 2
  • Fresh Curry Leaves - 4 to 5
  • Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
  • Tamarind Extract/Paste - 1 Tsp
  • Salt - As Per Taste
  • Water - As Needed
  • Mustard Seeds - ½ Tsp
  • Cumin Seeds - ¼ Tsp

    How To Make Mint Chutney?

    After you assemble all the ingredients for mint chutney follow these simple steps to make perfect chutney.

    • Firstly, heat oil in a pan, then add chana dal and urad dal and roast the dals till golden brown.
    • Then, add garlic, ginger, onions, and green chilies. Saute them for 2-3 minutes. Later add the fresh grated coconut and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
    • Further add the tamarind extract,  curry leaves, mint leaves, and coriander leaves. Then add salt and mix it well.
    • Once the ingredients are cooked let them cool down completely.
    • Now add the ingredients to the blender with lime juice and blend it well. Add water to set the consistency of the chutney while blending.  Then, transfer them to a bowl.
    • Further, in a pan heat some oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds along with fresh curry leaves. As the mustard and cumin seeds begin to sputter turn off the heat, add it to the chutney, and mix it well.
    • Your mint chutney recipe is ready! You can serve it along with your samosas, dosa, kebabs, and various other chaat items.
