Ingredients
  • 1 cup Amaranth / Rajgiri / Chaulai
  • Lukewarm water for kneading dough
  • Add 1-2 table spoon curd if required for kneading the dough
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 1/2 cup Raddish
  • No aloo /paneer
  • It is a healthy gluten-free flatbread made with amaranth flour for vrat. This recipe is yet another healthy alternative that can be your go-to option when you are out of time.

    • Add amaranth / rajgiri to curd mixture .
    • Make dough using lukewarm water for kneading the dough.
    • You can even add curd if required for kneading the dough .
    • Then, keep the dough aside for 15 minutes. 
    • Now, divide it into equal balls .
    • You can also add radish and onion into the dough if you want .
    • Then, roll the dough into roti.
    • Cook from both sides and serve it hot or you can also wrap it in a foil paper to keep it hot.

    • Amaranth carries high quantities of phenolic acid, vanillic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and gallic acid. Thus, it helps in protecting against degenerative diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer.
    • Also, amaranth is rich in fibre and protein, both of which help in weight loss. Increased fibre intake helps in lowering the risk of gaining body fat and weight.
    • Curd is among the best probiotic foods, which contains live microorganisms beneficial for our body.
    • It is also rich in phosphorus and calcium which prevents arthritis and also contributes towards healthier teeth and bones.
    • Radish is known to control damage to our red blood cells, and in the process it also increases oxygen supply to the blood.
    • This root vegetable is not only good for your digestive system, but it also helps to fix acidity, obesity, gastric problems, and nausea.
